Dear Residents,

As the weather begins to improve, it has been wonderful to see more people enjoying the footpath and viewing point at Swarndon Quarry. We’re lucky to have spaces like this where walkers and local residents can relax and enjoy the surroundings. ☀️ 🌳

Unfortunately, the local policing team have recently received reports of

A Reminder on Safety and the Law
🚨Damage to property that does not belong to you, including benches and fencing, is classed as criminal damage under UK law.

🔥The use of open flames and disposable BBQs in areas like Swarndon Quarry presents a serious risk to the countryside and surrounding properties, particularly during warm and dry conditions.

To keep this area safe for all, we ask that visitors to the quarry refrain from:

🚫 lighting fires or using barbecues

🚫 take any litter home with you.

✅ Please help us protect this area by leaving it as you would like to find it.

This damage is mainly occurring during the evenings, especially following warm and sunny days.
